Connect ChatGPT to SAP Business ByDesign
You can use SAP Business ByDesign from ChatGPT by adding mcpbizapps as a custom connector: paste one connector URL, sign in with your work email and a one-time code, and ChatGPT can look up customers, orders, receivables and projects, and prepare sales orders that are previewed, approved where needed and logged.
How to add the connector
Your mcpbizapps admin shares the connector URL from the console.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors.
- Create a connector, paste the connector URL your admin shares and choose OAuth for authentication.
- Sign in with your work email and the 6-digit code we email you, then choose Allow.
Custom connectors are available on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.
Before you start
- Your organization uses mcpbizapps, and your admin has connected SAP Business ByDesign.
- Your admin invited your work email and gave you a role.
- Your ChatGPT plan allows custom connectors.
What happens when you sign in
A mcpbizapps window shows who you are signed in as, your organization, and exactly which tools ChatGPT may use for you. You can change accounts there. Access lasts up to 30 days; remove the connector or ask your admin to end it sooner.

Does ChatGPT need a ByDesign user for each person?
No. Each person signs in to mcpbizapps with their work email. mcpbizapps connects to SAP Business ByDesign with one dedicated integration user, and every request is logged under the real person.
Which ChatGPT plans can use it?
Custom connectors are available on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.
What can ChatGPT do in SAP Business ByDesign?
Look up customers, sales orders, delivery status, open items, receivables aging and project budget vs actual, and prepare sales orders. What each person can use depends on their role.
Can ChatGPT change data without approval?
No. Every change is shown as a preview and needs the person to confirm it. Above the amount your admin sets, a second person must approve it. Admins can also switch changes off.
Does ChatGPT see data it should not?
ChatGPT only gets the tools the person's roles allow, and only the data those tools return. Business data passes through mcpbizapps without being stored.
