Create SAP Business ByDesign sales orders from a sentence
Sales teams find customers, check existing orders and prepare new sales orders in SAP Business ByDesign by asking their AI assistant. The assistant shows the order with ByDesign prices first, and larger orders wait for an approver before anything is created.

The controls around it
- Only people with a role that includes the sales order tools can prepare orders.
- Every order is shown as a preview and needs the person to confirm it.
- Orders above the amount you set, counted with your own recent orders for that customer, need a second person to approve.
- Each created order carries a note in ByDesign naming the person who asked.
Questions people ask
Can the assistant create a sales order without anyone checking it?
No. The person always sees a preview and confirms it. Above the amount your admin sets, an approver must approve it as well, and nobody can approve their own request.
Where do the prices in the preview come from?
From the SAP Business ByDesign price list at the moment the order is prepared. ByDesign sets the final prices when the order is created.
Can we turn off order creation and keep look-ups?
Yes. Admins switch changes on or off per kind of change. While it is off, assistants can still prepare and preview orders, but nothing is created.
