Copper for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Copper sits beside Gmail, so it knows who you emailed and met. mcpbizapps lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot answer from that: opportunities in each pipeline, people nobody has written to in weeks, companies with open projects, tasks due on Friday. Access follows each person's role. Cutting an opportunity's value by more than a quarter goes to the sales lead. The first weeks are a guided pilot alongside your account managers.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Copper?

Questions from agency owner, account manager, business development manager and others, answered from live Copper data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Opportunities
  • People
  • Companies
  • Leads
  • Tasks
  • Projects
  • Pipelines
  • Agency owner

“Which opportunities in the New Clients pipeline have had no email activity for three weeks?”

  • Account manager

“Who at Saltmarsh Creative did we last meet, and is there an open project for them?”

  • Business development manager

“How many leads did we convert to opportunities this quarter, and from which sources?”

  • Operations manager

“Which projects linked to won opportunities have no tasks assigned?”

  • Account manager

“What tasks are due this week across my companies?”

  • Sales lead

“What is the total value of opportunities expected to close in November, by owner?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Copper

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Copper under a named person.
  • Convert a lead into a person, company and opportunity

Opportunities worth more than $15,000 go to the agency owner before the lead is converted.

  • Update an opportunity stage and value after a client call

Lowering a value by more than a quarter needs the sales lead to approve.

  • Create a project and tasks when an opportunity is won

The account manager confirms the project and assignees before it is created.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Copper

Copper pulls in email threads and calendar meetings, so it holds personal details about clients and their staff. You choose which roles may read that relationship history and which see contact basics only. Value cuts and ownership moves wait for a lead. Any question about a client stays on record under the name of the person who asked it.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Copper records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Copper questions

Can ChatGPT see the emails Copper links to a contact?

Only for roles you allow. The assistant can summarize the email and meeting history Copper shows on a person or opportunity, so an account manager is ready for a call. Others can be limited to basic contact and deal details.

Does it work if we live in Gmail all day?

Yes. People ask in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, and the answer comes from the same Copper records they see beside Gmail. Nothing about your Google Workspace setup needs to change.

Can the assistant create projects in Copper?

It prepares the project and its tasks, often right after a win, and shows them as a preview. The person confirms, and then the project is created and the request is logged.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Copper data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Copper through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Copper is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Copper; the name describes the connection only.
