AI assistants for IT service management
Service desk agents, IT managers and employees all ask the ITSM tool questions: what is the status of my request, which incidents breach their target today, what changes go live this weekend. An AI assistant connected through mcpbizapps answers from live tickets, changes and assets within each person's role, and prepares updates for confirmation. Risky changes still go through your change approval process, and each request is traceable to a person.

Use cases
What teams use it for
-
Ticket status for employees
Employees ask where their laptop request or access request stands from inside their AI assistant, and only see their own tickets, which cuts the calls to the service desk.
-
Queue and target triage
Service desk leads ask which tickets will breach their response or resolution target in the next two hours and which groups are overloaded, then reassign after confirming.
-
Change calendar checks
Change managers and engineers ask what changes touch a system this week, which ones still need approval, and whether any clash with a freeze period.
-
Asset and configuration lookups
Engineers ask who owns a server, which services depend on it and what incidents it had this month, before they plan work on it.

- “Which assets with warranties expiring in 60 days are still in use, and who uses them?”
- “Which help center articles were viewed most last month, and which tickets came in anyway on the same topics?”
- “Is there an update on my incident about the printer on floor three?”
- “List work orders for office moves next week by support group.”
- “Which requests in the Network technician group are overdue and still unassigned?”
- “Which tickets will breach their SLA before the end of the shift?”

What to control in IT service management
ITSM tools sit next to production systems: a change request approved by mistake can take down a service, and tickets often hold passwords pasted by users, home addresses and HR cases. With mcpbizapps, roles keep employees to their own tickets and agents to their groups, every ticket update and change is previewed first, normal and emergency changes follow your change approval rules, and incident reviews can see who looked up each configuration item or ticket.

IT service management questions
Can an AI assistant approve change requests?
It can show what waits for approval and prepare an approval for the named approver to confirm. Changes classed as high risk, or emergency changes, still go to your change advisory board or the approvers your process requires.
Can employees open tickets through ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. An employee describes the problem, the assistant prepares a ticket or request with the right category, and the employee confirms it. They can then ask about status later, and only see their own tickets.
Are HR or security tickets kept private?
Yes, if you set roles that way. Tickets in restricted groups, such as HR cases or security incidents, can be hidden from the assistant for everyone except the agents in those groups.
