HaloITSM for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Agents and team leads, along with end users, ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about HaloITSM: tickets by ticket type, team and SLA status, change requests waiting for approval, problems, assets and their linked tickets, and knowledge base articles. On the portal side, users see only their own tickets. Merges and updates are confirmed from a preview. HaloITSM is configured in a guided pilot that loads your own ticket types.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask HaloITSM?

Questions from service desk agent, team lead, change manager and others, answered from live HaloITSM data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Tickets
  • Ticket types
  • Change requests
  • Problems
  • Assets
  • Teams
  • SLAs
  • Knowledge base articles
  • Service desk agent

“Which incident tickets for the 1st Line team are on hold waiting for the user for more than two days?”

  • Team lead

“Which tickets will breach their SLA before the end of the shift?”

  • Change manager

“Which change requests are waiting for CAB approval, and what assets do they affect?”

  • End user

“Has my ticket about the shared mailbox been assigned yet?”

  • IT asset manager

  • Head of IT services

“Compare first-time fix rates by team for this quarter.”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in HaloITSM

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to HaloITSM under a named person.
  • Log a ticket with the right ticket type

The user confirms; no further approval below high priority.

  • Send a change request to CAB

The change owner confirms, and changes to production systems need CAB sign-off.

  • Merge duplicate tickets into one

The team lead confirms which tickets are merged before saving.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for HaloITSM

HaloITSM tickets can contain screenshots, user details and notes about access, and its change requests reach live systems. Agents stay inside their teams. A merge shows exactly which tickets combine, and changes to production need CAB sign-off. When someone asks who opened a ticket or asset record, the request history names them.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the HaloITSM records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

HaloITSM questions

Does it follow HaloITSM ticket types and workflows?

Yes. The pilot loads your ticket types, statuses and workflows, so the assistant uses your own names and prepares tickets that follow the same steps and fields your agents already use.

Can team leads use it to manage SLAs?

Yes. A team lead can ask which tickets are close to breaching their SLA, see who holds them and reassign after confirming the preview, without building a new report in HaloITSM.

Is HaloITSM the same as HaloPSA?

They come from the same company but serve different teams. HaloITSM is for internal IT departments, which is what this connection covers. Managed service providers using HaloPSA should ask us about their setup.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our HaloITSM data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from HaloITSM through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

HaloITSM is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Halo Service Solutions; the name describes the connection only.
