Freshservice for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Agents, IT managers and employees ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about Freshservice: incidents and service requests by agent group, changes awaiting CAB approval, problems, assets and their owners, service catalog items. Employees see only their own tickets. An update, reassignment or change is confirmed from a preview before it is saved. Freshservice is switched on after your IT operations lead completes a guided pilot.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Freshservice
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Freshservice under a named person.
-
Raise a service request from the service catalog
Catalog items with a cost above $500 need the employee's manager to approve.
-
Submit a change for CAB review
The change owner confirms; high-risk changes need the full CAB.
-
Assign an asset to a new user
The asset manager confirms the assignment before saving.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Freshservice
Freshservice often holds every laptop, license and access request in the company, along with incident notes that can include personal details. Employees reach their own tickets and agents their own groups. A catalog request with a cost goes to the employee's manager, high-risk changes go to the full CAB, and asset lookups are logged by name.
-
Sign-in by work email
Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.
-
Roles per tool

-
View only, if you prefer

-

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.
-
Approval rules
Above your limits, a second person approves the change.
-
One audit log
Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Freshservice questions
Can it raise service requests from the Freshservice catalog?
Yes. An employee describes what they need, the assistant finds the matching service catalog item and fills in the fields, and the employee confirms. Items with a cost go to the approver your workflow names.
Does it support Freshservice CAB approvals?
Yes. Change owners can submit changes for review, and CAB members can ask what is waiting for them. Each approval is confirmed by the named CAB member and logged under their name.
Can asset managers ask about software licenses?
Yes. They can ask which licenses are assigned, unused or about to renew, and which people hold them. This helps the team decide which licenses to reclaim before a renewal date.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Freshservice data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Freshservice through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Freshservice is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Freshworks; the name describes the connection only.
