Zendesk for Employee Service for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
When one Zendesk instance serves IT and HR, agents need answers without crossing into the wrong group. IT agents, leads and employees can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about tickets in each view, SLA targets close to breach, macros to apply and help center articles that answer common questions. Employees only see their own tickets. Replies are previewed first. Setup runs as a guided pilot, led on your side by the IT support lead.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Zendesk for Employee Service
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Zendesk for Employee Service under a named person.
-
Apply a macro and reply to a ticket
The agent reviews the reply text before it is sent to the employee.
-
Bulk update status on tickets in a view
Updates to more than 25 tickets need the IT support lead to approve.
-
Draft a help center article from solved tickets
The knowledge lead reviews and publishes it; drafts are never published automatically.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Zendesk for Employee Service
When Zendesk serves both IT and HR, one help desk can hold laptop issues next to sensitive HR cases. HR groups stay invisible to IT agents, and employees reach only their own tickets. Each reply is read by an agent before it is sent, and bulk updates over 25 tickets need a lead. Ticket views are logged under the viewer's name.

Zendesk for Employee Service questions
Is this the same as Zendesk for customer support?
It uses the same Zendesk tools, set up for employees instead of customers. If you also run customer support in Zendesk, those tickets can be kept out of this connection with separate roles and groups.
Can HR tickets stay hidden from IT agents?
Yes. Roles follow your Zendesk groups, so tickets in an HR group are only reachable by HR agents. IT agents and employees asking questions never see them in answers or summaries.
Will it reply to employees on its own?
No. The assistant drafts replies and suggests macros, but an agent reviews the text and confirms before anything is sent. Each reply is logged with the agent's name and the time it was sent.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Zendesk for Employee Service data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Zendesk for Employee Service through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Zendesk for Employee Service is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Zendesk; the name describes the connection only.
