Cornerstone Learning for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Who on the night shift still owes the forklift refresher? Learning administrators and managers can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot that kind of question about Cornerstone: user transcripts, learning objects and curricula, assignments with due dates, training requests awaiting approval, instructor-led sessions with open seats. Answers follow organizational unit constraints, so a manager sees only their team. Your learning administrators help shape a guided pilot before Cornerstone goes live.

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Cornerstone Learning

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Cornerstone Learning under a named person.
  • Create a learning assignment for a group of users

Assignments to more than 200 users need the learning administrator to approve.

  • Approve a training request for an external course

The manager confirms, and requests over $1,500 also need the L&D budget owner.

  • Extend a due date or record an exemption

Exemptions from mandatory curricula always need the policy owner in HR or safety.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Cornerstone Learning

Cornerstone transcripts are often the record of who completed required safety and conduct training. Access follows your organizational unit constraints. Assignment and due date changes are shown before saving. An exemption from a mandatory curriculum, or a costly external course, needs an approver. After an incident, you can see who changed a transcript and when.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Cornerstone Learning records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Cornerstone Learning questions

Does it work with Cornerstone organizational unit constraints?

Yes. During the pilot we match mcpbizapps roles to your division, location and position constraints, so a regional manager only reaches users in their own organizational units and administrators see what their role allows.

Can managers assign training through the assistant?

Yes. A manager can ask for a course or curriculum, choose the people on their team and confirm the assignment and due date from the preview. Large assignments go to a learning administrator to approve.

Does it cover other Cornerstone talent modules?

Most pilots start with learning: transcripts, curricula, assignments and sessions. Performance or succession data can be added later, once roles for that more sensitive data are agreed with HR and your learning administrators.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Cornerstone Learning data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Cornerstone Learning through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Cornerstone Learning is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Cornerstone OnDemand; the name describes the connection only.
