Front for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Front mixes customer email, SMS and internal comments in shared inboxes. Through mcpbizapps, Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot can answer which conversations sit unassigned, what a contact has sent, what colleagues said on a tricky thread and which templates people use. Teammates stay in their own inboxes. Replies to key accounts need the account manager. Front setup runs as a guided pilot, inbox by inbox.

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Front

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Front under a named person.
  • Assign conversations to teammates and add a tag

A teammate may reassign up to 20 conversations; larger moves go to the team lead.

  • Draft a reply from a message template

Replies to accounts marked key need the account manager to approve before sending.

  • Archive conversations tagged resolved in a shared inbox

Archiving more than 30 conversations needs the customer operations manager to approve.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Front

Internal comments in Front are never meant for customers, so the wrong reply can expose a private note. Comments are used only to answer the teammate who asked, and any customer reply is shown on its own. Archiving more than 30 conversations needs the customer operations manager. Access to each shared inbox follows the teams that work it.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Front records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

How Front gets connected

We connect Front for your team in a guided pilot, on the same gateway every app uses. No code on your side.

  1. 01

    Agree the questions

We list the Front questions and changes your team needs, and who may use each.

  2. 02

    Connect with your admin

Your Front administrator creates a dedicated integration user with only that access.

  3. 03

    Test with your people

A small group tries it in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot while we tune the tools.

  4. 04

    Roll out with rules

Roles, approval limits and the audit log are in place before everyone joins.

Front questions

Can ChatGPT read Front internal comments?

Yes, for teammates whose role covers that inbox. Comments stay internal: the assistant only uses them to answer the teammate who asked, and a reply it drafts for the customer is shown separately as a preview.

Can the assistant send replies in Front?

It drafts the reply, often from a message template, and shows it before anything is sent. The teammate sends it, and replies to accounts you mark as key can need an approver first.

Does it work with Front rules?

Your existing rules keep running in Front. The assistant can explain what a rule did to a conversation, and changes to how rules work stay with your Front admins, who keep full control.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Front data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Front through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Front is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Front; the name describes the connection only.
