Gong for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Gong already records what buyers say. mcpbizapps lets your team ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about it: what came up on last week's calls, which deals on a board carry warnings, how often a competitor tracker fires, which calls a manager should review. People reach only the calls their role covers. Sharing a recording outside the company always needs a sales manager. Setup runs as a guided pilot.

  • Libraries
  • Accounts

“What concerns did the CFO at Silverpine Freight raise on our last three calls?”

  • Sales manager

“Which deals on my team's deal board have no call with a decision maker in the past three weeks?”

  • Product marketing manager

“How often did the pricing tracker fire on calls this quarter compared with last quarter?”

  • Sales enablement manager

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Gong

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Gong under a named person.
  • Add a call to a library folder for coaching

Calls from flagged accounts go into a coaching library only with sales leadership's approval.

  • Share a call recording with someone outside the company

External sharing always needs the sales manager to approve first.

  • Add contacts from a deal to a Gong Engage flow

Adding more than 15 contacts needs a manager, because it sends them emails.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Gong

Customers speak openly on Gong calls about budgets, internal politics and problems, and they did not expect that to travel. Call content stays with the reps, managers and teams who need it. A preview shows exactly who would receive a shared recording, and external shares wait for a manager. Each question about a call is recorded against the person who asked.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Gong records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Your Gong administrator creates a dedicated integration user with only that access.

  3. 03

    Test with your people

A small group tries it in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot while we tune the tools.

  4. 04

    Roll out with rules

Gong questions

Can ChatGPT answer questions about our Gong call recordings?

Yes, for people whose role allows it. The assistant reads the calls a person may already access in Gong and answers with a summary that names the calls it used, so the rep can check the moment themselves.

Does it work with Gong deal boards?

Yes. Managers can ask about deals on a board, such as which ones have warnings or missing contacts, and the answer comes from the live board, not a copy exported earlier in the week.

Can we keep some calls private?

Yes. In the pilot we agree which teams, workspaces or accounts each role may reach. Calls with sensitive accounts can stay with a small group, and nobody outside that group can pull them into an answer.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Gong data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Gong through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Gong is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Gong; the name describes the connection only.
