Rippling for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
One Rippling record drives pay, devices and app access, so HR, finance and IT teams all have questions about it. They can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about employee details, departments and work locations, upcoming hires and terminations, assigned devices, and which apps each person can reach. Every prepared change needs confirmation, and sensitive ones a second approver. Setup happens in a guided pilot, where each team's lane is agreed.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Rippling
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Rippling under a named person.
-
Prepare a department or manager change for an employee
The new manager confirms, and changes that alter pay or app access also need HR approval.
-
Request app access for a new team member
Access to finance or admin apps needs IT and the app owner to approve.
-
Draft an offboarding with a last day
Every termination needs a second approver from HR before anything is sent to Rippling.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Rippling
In Rippling, one change to an employee can update payroll, benefits, devices and app access at once, so mistakes spread fast. IT, finance and HR each keep to their own lane. The preview lists every downstream effect before saving, and terminations always need an HR approver. Each prepared step carries the name of whoever started it.

Rippling questions
Can IT ask about app access in Rippling?
Yes, if their role allows it. IT admins can ask which people reach an app, which leavers still have access, and which devices are assigned, without seeing pay or personal details.
Can the assistant run payroll in Rippling?
No. It can answer questions about past payroll runs and employer costs for roles that may see them. Running and approving payroll stays with your payroll admins inside Rippling, where your existing pay approvals still apply.
Why does a manager change need extra review?
In Rippling, changing a manager or department can trigger new approval chains, app rules and pay settings. The preview shows those effects, and you decide which changes need a second approver.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Rippling data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Rippling through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Rippling is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Rippling; the name describes the connection only.
