Flexport for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Import coordinators on Flexport track shipments by purchase order: which containers are delayed at port, the latest milestone on each shipment, which bookings are pending and which freight invoices are due. mcpbizapps lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot answer those for the shipments each person covers. A guided pilot lines the questions up with the purchase orders and ports your logistics team follows.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Flexport
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Flexport under a named person.
-
Submit a booking request for a purchase order ready to ship
Bookings with an estimated cost above $12,000 need the import manager to approve.
-
Add a delivery instruction to a shipment
Routine delivery notes are added by the coordinator; changing the final delivery address needs the import manager.
-
Upload a missing document reference to a customs entry
The customs specialist reviews each upload before it is attached.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Flexport
Flexport carries your landed costs, supplier terms and customs details, and a wrong booking can commit you to freight you did not need. Bookings estimated above $12,000 go to the import manager, as does any change to the final delivery address. Customs documents are reviewed by your customs specialist, and filings stay with your broker. Each booking keeps its requester's name.

Flexport questions
Can it track Flexport shipments by our purchase order number?
Yes. Ask by purchase order, container or shipment and the answer gives the latest milestone, the current arrival estimate and any open exceptions Flexport has recorded, such as a rolled vessel or a held container.
Does it handle customs questions?
It answers what Flexport records about an entry, such as status, missing documents and duties billed. Customs decisions, filings and classification stay with your broker and your customs team, who can see the same request in the audit log.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Flexport data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Flexport through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Flexport is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Flexport; the name describes the connection only.
