ShipBob for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Brand operators using ShipBob mostly ask about stock: what is on hand at each fulfillment center, which warehouse receiving orders are still in transit, which orders are flagged as exceptions and which returns wait to be processed. mcpbizapps lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot answer live. People see only what their role covers. Your ShipBob account joins in a guided pilot matched to the products and locations you plan around.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in ShipBob
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to ShipBob under a named person.
-
Change the shipping address on an order before it is picked
Domestic address fixes go ahead once the agent checks them; a change to another country needs the operations manager.
-
Create a warehouse receiving order for an inbound shipment
Receiving orders above 2,000 units need the inventory planner to approve.
-
Cancel an order that has not shipped
Cancelling orders above $300 needs customer experience lead approval.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for ShipBob
ShipBob holds your sellable stock and your customers' home addresses, and a wrong cancel or address edit sends goods to the wrong place. Address changes to another country need the operations manager. Cancelling orders above $300 goes to the customer experience lead, and receiving orders above 2,000 units to the inventory planner. Every edit can be traced back to its requester.

ShipBob questions
Can it tell us where inventory sits across ShipBob fulfillment centers?
Yes. Ask for on-hand, committed or incoming units by product and location. The answer reads ShipBob live, so it matches what the ShipBob dashboard shows at that moment, including stock still being received.
Can the assistant create warehouse receiving orders?
It prepares one from the details you give, such as products, quantities and expected arrival. You check the preview and confirm, and large receiving orders go to an approver before ShipBob sees them.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our ShipBob data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from ShipBob through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
ShipBob is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with ShipBob; the name describes the connection only.
