monday.com for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Teams can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot which monday.com items are stuck, how a workspace is progressing, who has too much due this week and what changed on a client board. Workspaces and boards follow each role, and item or status changes are shown first. A guided pilot maps the columns each board relies on.

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in monday.com

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to monday.com under a named person.
  • Create items on a board from an email request

Items on a board shared with a client need the account director to approve.

  • Update the status column on several items

Changing more than ten items in one go needs the board owner to approve.

  • Move an item to another group on the board

Moves between groups on a board the person owns go ahead once they confirm.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for monday.com

Boards often double as client trackers, so one workspace can mix internal notes with work shared with guests. Guests never see the assistant's answers. New items on a client board need the account director, status changes on more than ten items go to the board owner, and every change carries a name.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the monday.com records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

monday.com questions

Does it understand our custom monday.com columns?

Yes. Status, people, date, numbers and text columns can all be used to filter and summarize items. In the pilot we map the columns each board relies on, so a question about a stuck item means the same thing your team means.

Can it work across several boards at once?

Yes, within what your role allows. A resource manager can ask about everyone with items due this week across many boards, while a team lead might see only the boards in their own workspace.

Will guests on a shared board see anything from the assistant?

No. The assistant answers only the person who asked, inside their own AI client. Anything it prepares for a board shared with guests can require approval first, and nothing is posted to the board until it is confirmed.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our monday.com data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from monday.com through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

monday.com is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with monday.com; the name describes the connection only.
