Applied Epic for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Agency staff use mcpbizapps to ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about Applied Epic: which policies expire in the next 90 days, which renewal activities are past due, which accounts have had no recent client contact and how commission compares with last year. Roles follow your agencies, branches and departments, and a new activity is shown before it is saved. Requests are logged. The guided pilot starts with the branches you pick.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Applied Epic
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Applied Epic under a named person.
-
Create a renewal activity on a policy
The account manager confirms the preview of the activity, owner and follow-up date before it is saved.
-
Close activities that are complete
The owner confirms each closure; closing activities that belong to another user needs the operations manager to approve.
-
Update a client's mailing address on the account
The service representative confirms, and changes on accounts over $50,000 in annual premium need the account manager to approve.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Applied Epic
Applied Epic holds client contacts, policy details, claims history and agency financials. Producers stay in their own book, and accounting stays with the right staff. Work on another user's activities or on large accounts needs a manager. If an errors and omissions question comes up, you can see who touched each account and when.

Applied Epic questions
Can Claude see Applied Epic activities?
Yes, for roles allowed to. It reads open and closed activities with their codes, owners and follow-up dates, so account managers can see what is due and supervisors can balance work across the team.
Does it respect agency and branch structure?
Yes. Roles map to your agencies, branches and departments in Applied Epic, so a branch manager sees that branch, a producer sees their own book, and agency owners can ask across all of them.
Can it read attachments like policy documents?
It can list attachments on an account or activity and, for roles allowed, summarize a document such as a quote or a declarations page. The attachments themselves stay stored in Applied Epic.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Applied Epic data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Applied Epic through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
