Docusign for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Sales, HR and legal teams can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot which Docusign envelopes are still waiting for a signature, who the next recipient is, why an envelope was voided and where a completed agreement lives. People see the envelopes their team sends or receives. Draft envelopes and reminders are shown before they are saved, and sending stays with the named sender. Your account admin joins us for a guided pilot.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Docusign?

Questions from sales operations manager, legal ops manager, HR coordinator and others, answered from live Docusign data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Envelopes
  • Recipients
  • Documents
  • Templates
  • PowerForms
  • Sales operations manager

“Which envelopes sent to customers in October are still waiting for a signature?”

  • Legal ops manager

“Which envelopes were voided this quarter, and what reason was given for each?”

  • HR coordinator

“Has Nadia Brooks signed her offer letter yet, and when did she last view it?”

  • Procurement manager

“Which vendor agreements are waiting on our CFO as the next recipient?”

  • Contracts manager

“Find the completed envelope for the Westgate Ltd master agreement and list its documents.”

  • Office manager

“Which templates in the shared Sales folder were changed this year, and by whom?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Docusign

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Docusign under a named person.
  • Prepare a draft envelope from an approved template

The envelope is saved as a draft, and the sender reviews and sends it.

  • Send a reminder to recipients on an envelope already sent

Reminders go only to recipients who have not signed yet, once the sender confirms.

  • Correct the email address of a recipient who has not signed

The sender confirms; changes on envelopes over $50,000 in value need a legal ops approver.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Docusign

Envelopes carry signed prices and the personal details of employees and customers. A sales rep sees their own envelopes, while legal ops may see the whole account. The assistant never sends an envelope: it saves a draft for the sender. Correcting a recipient on an envelope worth more than $50,000 needs a legal ops approver, and lookups are kept in a named log.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Docusign records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Docusign questions

Can the assistant send Docusign envelopes?

It saves a draft envelope from an approved template with recipients and fields filled in. The sender reviews it in Docusign and sends it, so every request for a signature comes from a person.

Can it see envelopes sent by other people?

Only where your roles allow. A sales rep can see their own envelopes, while a legal ops manager might see every envelope in the account. Shared folders and team access are agreed during the pilot.

Does it read the documents inside a completed envelope?

Yes, for people allowed to see them. It can summarize a completed agreement or find a clause in it, and it names the envelope and document it used so the answer can be checked.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Docusign data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Docusign through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Docusign is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Docusign; the name describes the connection only.
