Ironclad for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
With Ironclad connected, legal and business teams can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot which workflows are stuck in review, who a sales order form waits on, which records auto-renew soon and which signed agreements depart from the standard term. People reach the contract types their team owns, launches and updates are shown before saving, and legal review stays where it is. Legal ops sets up the connection with us in a guided pilot.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Ironclad
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Ironclad under a named person.
-
Launch a workflow for a standard NDA from a template
The requester confirms the form; anything off the standard template goes to legal review as usual.
-
Add a comment for the legal reviewer on a workflow
Comments go only to workflows the person is already a party to, after they read the wording.
-
Update a record property such as the renewal notice date
A legal ops manager approves every change to record properties.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Ironclad
Negotiation history and internal comments in Ironclad can be privileged, and every signed agreement sits beside them. A sales manager sees sales contracts, not employment ones. Record property changes go to a legal ops manager, and approvals configured in your Ironclad workflows still apply. Counsel can review who asked about which contract.

Ironclad questions
Can the assistant change contract terms in Ironclad?
No. Redlines and term changes stay with legal in the Ironclad workflow. The assistant launches workflows from your templates, adds comments and prepares record updates, all of which are previewed and confirmed.
Can it search signed contracts by clause?
Yes, using the properties and clauses your team records on each record. Counsel can ask which agreements have a non-standard liability cap or governing law, and the answer lists the records it found.
Does it respect Ironclad workflow approvals?
Yes. Approvals configured in your Ironclad workflows still apply, because the assistant never approves a step itself. It can tell a requester which approver a workflow waits on and for how long.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Ironclad data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Ironclad through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Ironclad is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Ironclad; the name describes the connection only.
