Guidewire for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Underwriters, adjusters and billing staff can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about Guidewire: which policies in PolicyCenter renew next month, which claims in ClaimCenter have had no activity, which exposures have reserves due for review and which accounts are delinquent in BillingCenter. Roles follow your authority limits, and above a limit an approver decides. A guided pilot covers the InsuranceSuite applications your carrier runs.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Guidewire
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Guidewire under a named person.
-
Prepare a reserve change on an exposure
Within their reserve authority the adjuster decides; anything above it goes to the claims supervisor.
-
Draft a policy change adding a new vehicle
The underwriter reviews the quoted premium change and binds it; changes above $2,000 in premium need an underwriting manager.
-
Create follow-up activities for stalled claims
The claims supervisor confirms the list of activities and assignees before they are created.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Guidewire
Guidewire holds policyholder details, claim files and injury information, and reserve and coverage decisions carry financial and legal weight. Each person works within their authority level, and anything above it routes to someone who holds it. The reserve, premium or activity change is shown before saving. Claim and coverage decisions stay with people, and each step has a name on it.

Guidewire questions
Can the assistant pay or deny a claim in ClaimCenter?
No. Payments, denials and coverage decisions stay with adjusters and supervisors. The assistant can summarize the claim file, list open activities and prepare reserve changes for a person to confirm within their authority.
Does it work on Guidewire Cloud and self-managed installs?
Yes. During the pilot we connect the InsuranceSuite applications you run, on Guidewire Cloud or your own environment, and agree which lines of business and records each role may read.
Can it help underwriters with renewals?
Yes. It can list renewals by date, line and loss history, and prepare policy change drafts for review. Pricing, binding and any decision to decline a renewal stay with the underwriter.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Guidewire data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Guidewire through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Guidewire is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Guidewire Software; the name describes the connection only.
