BILL for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
In BILL, the usual question is where a bill is stuck and whose approval it needs. AP clerks, approvers and accounting firms can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, along with which payments go out this week by method, what each vendor is owed and which customer invoices are still unpaid. Clerks, approvers and payers stay in separate roles. BILL is connected through a guided pilot with whoever owns your payables process.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in BILL
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to BILL under a named person.
-
Enter a bill from a vendor invoice PDF
Bills follow your BILL approval policy, and new vendors need the controller.
-
Schedule payment of an approved bill
Scheduling a payment needs a second person to approve it, and the owner above $15,000.
-
Send a payment reminder on an overdue customer invoice
The AR coordinator confirms the message before it is sent.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for BILL
BILL pays vendors straight from your bank account and holds their bank details, which makes it a favourite target for invoice fraud. A fake bill from a lookalike vendor is the classic attack. New vendors need the controller, and each payment is checked by someone other than the person who scheduled it.

BILL questions
Does the assistant follow our BILL approval policies?
Yes. Bills it prepares go into BILL and follow your approval policies as usual. On top of that, mcpbizapps asks the person to confirm before entry and requires a second approver for each payment, so your BILL rules are never skipped.
Can it change vendor bank details?
We keep vendor bank detail changes out of scope by default, because they are a common fraud route. If you include them, they need two approvers and a call-back to the vendor.
Can accounting firms use it for several clients?
Yes. Each client organization is connected separately, and roles decide which firm staff reach which client. Answers name the client, and every request is logged under the staff member’s name.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our BILL data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from BILL through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
BILL is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with BILL Holdings; the name describes the connection only.
