Fiix for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

A maintenance planner using Fiix wants to see which scheduled maintenance is overdue, what an asset's repair history looks like, which work orders wait on parts and where spare stock is low. mcpbizapps lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot answer, and technicians can ask from a phone on the floor. Each technician sees their own site. Your asset hierarchy and failure codes carry straight into the guided pilot.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Fiix?

Questions from maintenance manager, maintenance technician, planner and others, answered from live Fiix data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Work orders
  • Assets
  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Parts
  • Work requests
  • Failure codes
  • Sites
  • Maintenance manager

“Which scheduled maintenance work orders at the Lancaster site are more than a week overdue?”

  • Maintenance technician

“What repairs were done on compressor C-3 in the last year, and which failure codes came up?”

  • Planner

“Which open work orders are waiting on parts, and when is each part due?”

  • Storeroom clerk

“Which spare parts are below their minimum quantity right now?”

  • Reliability engineer

“Which five assets had the most unplanned downtime this quarter?”

  • Plant manager

“What share of maintenance hours last month went to preventive versus reactive work?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Fiix

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Fiix under a named person.
  • Create a work request from a technician's description

The technician checks the request text; any request on a safety critical asset also alerts the maintenance manager.

  • Log parts used and labor hours on a work order

Parts worth more than $1,000 on one order need the planner to approve.

  • Request closure of a completed work order

Closures on assets flagged safety-critical need a supervisor to sign off.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Fiix

Fiix is the proof that safety and preventive tasks really happened, and closing one in error can leave a hazard in place. Closures on safety critical assets need a supervisor. Parts worth more than $1,000 on one order go to the planner, and PM schedule changes stay with planners. Technicians stay on their own site, and safety reviews can trace each entry to a person.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Fiix records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Fiix questions

Can a technician use it from the plant floor?

Yes. A technician signs in with a work email on a phone, asks about an asset and prepares a work request or log entry. The role keeps them to their own site and assigned work.

Can the assistant change PM schedules in Fiix?

We keep schedule changes with planners. The assistant can show which scheduled maintenance triggers are due and prepare a request to move one, which the planner reviews and confirms before Fiix changes.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Fiix data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Fiix through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Fiix is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Rockwell Automation; the name describes the connection only.
