Medidata for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

How does enrollment compare with target at each site? Which sites have the most open queries, which forms are overdue, and where are subjects in the visit schedule? Clinical operations and data management teams ask Medidata these questions in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. Roles follow each person's existing study and site access, and a manual query is shown before it is raised. A guided pilot starts with the studies you pick.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Medidata?

Questions from clinical trial manager, clinical data manager, clinical research associate and others, answered from live Medidata data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Studies
  • Sites
  • Subjects
  • Forms
  • Queries
  • Visits
  • Protocol deviations
  • Clinical trial manager

“How does enrollment at each site in the Arden-204 study compare with its target?”

  • Clinical data manager

“Which sites have more than 20 open queries older than 14 days?”

  • Clinical research associate

“Which forms at site 108 are overdue for data entry after the week 4 visit?”

  • Study start-up manager

“Which sites are activated but have not screened a subject yet?”

  • Data management lead

“How many queries were opened and closed this week across the study?”

  • Clinical operations director

“Which studies are behind their enrollment curve this quarter?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Medidata

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Medidata under a named person.
  • Raise a manual query on a form for site review

The data manager confirms the query text; queries on safety forms need the lead data manager to approve.

  • Close queries that the site has answered

Only the data manager role can close queries, and each closure is confirmed in the preview.

  • Update a site's enrollment target

The clinical trial manager approves any change, and targets cut by more than 20% also need the operations director.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Medidata

Trial data underpins regulatory submissions, so every change must be traceable and limited to the right people. Study, site and blinding access carry over to the assistant. Queries on safety forms and changes to enrollment targets need a senior approver. Medidata keeps its audit trail, and mcpbizapps adds who asked the assistant. Site staff still enter and correct clinical data themselves.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Medidata records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

How Medidata gets connected

We connect Medidata for your team in a guided pilot, on the same gateway every app uses. No code on your side.

  1. 01

    Agree the questions

We list the Medidata questions and changes your team needs, and who may use each.

  2. 02

    Connect with your admin

Your Medidata administrator creates a dedicated integration user with only that access.

  3. 03

    Test with your people

A small group tries it in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot while we tune the tools.

  4. 04

    Roll out with rules

Roles, approval limits and the audit log are in place before everyone joins.

Medidata questions

Can the assistant enter or change clinical data in Rave?

No. Data entry and corrections stay with site staff in Rave EDC. The assistant reads status, such as open queries and overdue forms, and can prepare queries for data managers to confirm.

Does it keep blinded users blinded?

Roles follow the study and site access each person already has in Medidata. During the pilot we agree with your study team which data each role may read, and unblinded data stays with the roles allowed to see it.

Can it compare enrollment across studies?

Yes, for people whose role covers several studies. It reports screened, enrolled and target counts by study and site, so a portfolio view does not need a manual report from each study team.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Medidata data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Medidata through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Medidata is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Dassault Systèmes; the name describes the connection only.
