Veeva Vault for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Quality, regulatory and clinical teams can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about Veeva Vault: which documents sit in In Review, which SOPs are due for periodic review, who holds open workflow tasks and which lifecycle state a submission document has reached. Roles follow your Vault security, and a review workflow is shown before it starts. Approvals and signatures stay in Vault. A guided pilot begins with the vaults that matter most to you.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Veeva Vault
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Veeva Vault under a named person.
-
Start a review workflow on a draft document
The document owner confirms the preview of reviewers and due date before the workflow starts.
-
Update metadata fields on a set of documents
Edits to more than 25 documents, or to any document in the Approved state, need the document control lead to approve.
-
Reassign an open workflow task to another reviewer
The workflow owner approves the reassignment, and the new reviewer must already hold the right role in Vault.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Veeva Vault
Vault holds regulated content where every version, state change and signature matters to inspectors. Access follows your Vault security profiles. Bulk metadata edits and task reassignments need the document control lead or workflow owner. Vault keeps its own audit trail; mcpbizapps adds the name of whoever asked the assistant. Signers always give electronic signatures in Vault themselves.

Veeva Vault questions
Can Claude approve or sign Vault documents?
No. Moving a document to Approved or Effective through an electronic signature stays with the signer inside Vault. The assistant can tell a reviewer what is waiting for them and prepare the workflow, but it never signs anything.
Does it follow our Vault lifecycles?
Yes. It reads each document's lifecycle and current state and only prepares actions that the lifecycle allows from that state, for the people your Vault security already permits to take them.
Which Vault applications does it cover?
During the pilot we pick the vaults that matter most, such as QualityDocs, RIM or eTMF, and agree which document types each role may read. Others can be added later on the same terms.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Veeva Vault data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Veeva Vault through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Veeva Vault is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Veeva Systems; the name describes the connection only.
