Paycom for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Payroll teams, managers and employees ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about Paycom: who has not finished their Beti paycheck review, punch errors to fix, time-off requests waiting for a decision, labor allocation by location and deduction changes. An employee sees their own checks, a manager their own team. Paycom is connected during a guided pilot, starting with the payroll admins who own the setup.

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Paycom

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Paycom under a named person.
  • Prepare a punch correction for a missed clock-out

The manager confirms; edits after the payroll is locked need the payroll manager.

  • Approve or deny a time-off request

The direct manager confirms, and denials of requests over five days also need HR.

  • Change a labor allocation for an employee

The finance owner of the new location must approve before it applies.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Paycom

Paycom puts employees in charge of checking their own pay, so pay issues surface in many places at once. Employees reach their own checks and managers their location. Punch and allocation edits are shown before saving. A pay change needs a payroll approver other than the requester, and every question about someone's pay is kept under the asker's name.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Paycom records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Paycom questions

Does it help with Beti paycheck reviews?

Yes. Payroll can ask which employees have not finished their review or flagged a problem, and employees can ask why their own check looks different. The fix still goes through the usual payroll approval.

Can managers fix punches in Paycom through it?

They can prepare the correction and confirm it from the preview. Once the payroll is locked, any change goes to the payroll manager for approval before it is saved in Paycom.

Does the assistant submit payroll in Paycom?

No. Payroll submission stays with your payroll team in Paycom. The assistant helps them find open punch and paycheck issues before the deadline and prepares corrections for review by named approvers.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Paycom data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Paycom through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Paycom is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Paycom; the name describes the connection only.
