Stripe for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Support wants to know why a card failed. Finance wants to know what made up Tuesday’s payout. Both questions live in Stripe, and Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot can now answer them: a customer’s subscriptions and recent charges, invoices that failed to collect, disputes waiting for evidence, and the charges, refunds and fees inside a payout. Refunds and credits are previewed and need a second approver. Stripe is connected through a guided pilot on your account.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Stripe?

Questions from support agent, billing manager, disputes analyst and others, answered from live Stripe data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Customers
  • Charges
  • Subscriptions
  • Invoices
  • Refunds
  • Disputes
  • Payouts
  • Coupons
  • Support agent

“Why was Juniper Analytics charged twice this month, and which invoices were involved?”

  • Billing manager

“Which subscriptions moved to past due this week, and how much revenue is at risk?”

  • Disputes analyst

“Which disputes need evidence submitted in the next three days, and what is each reason code?”

  • Accountant

“Break down Tuesday’s payout into charges, refunds, disputes and Stripe fees.”

  • Head of growth

“How many customers used the SPRING25 coupon, and how many are still subscribed?”

  • Founder

“What was net volume last month compared with the month before, after refunds?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Stripe

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Stripe under a named person.
  • Refund a charge in full or in part

Refunds always take two people; once one passes $500, the billing manager is one of them.

  • Apply a coupon to a customer’s subscription

Discounts above 20% or longer than three months need a sales manager.

  • Cancel a subscription at the end of the current period

The support lead confirms, and annual plans over $5,000 need the account owner.

  • Draft dispute evidence from the order and delivery records

The disputes analyst reviews the evidence before it is submitted to Stripe.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Stripe

Stripe can send money back to a customer in seconds, and refunds are hard to claw back once they land. Support agents look things up, while finance acts. Each refund names the charge, amount and reason in its preview, and two people must agree before it goes through, whatever the size.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Stripe records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

How Stripe gets connected

We connect Stripe for your team in a guided pilot, on the same gateway every app uses. No code on your side.

  1. 01

    Agree the questions

We list the Stripe questions and changes your team needs, and who may use each.

  2. 02

    Connect with your admin

Your Stripe administrator creates a dedicated integration user with only that access.

  3. 03

    Test with your people

A small group tries it in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot while we tune the tools.

  4. 04

    Roll out with rules

Roles, approval limits and the audit log are in place before everyone joins.

Stripe questions

Can the assistant work with Stripe Billing subscriptions?

Yes. Support and billing teams can ask about a customer’s subscriptions, upcoming invoice, trial end and payment status, and prepare plan changes or coupons that follow your approval rules before Stripe applies them.

Can it help us win more disputes?

It can gather order, shipping and usage details into draft evidence and show past outcomes by reason code. A person reviews and submits the evidence, so nothing goes to the card network without a human check.

Does it work with Stripe Connect platforms?

We confirm your setup in the pilot. For platforms with connected accounts, roles can limit staff to certain accounts, and payouts or transfers to connected accounts always need a second approver.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Stripe data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Stripe through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Stripe is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Stripe; the name describes the connection only.
