nCino for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Which loans are stuck in underwriting? Which documents does a borrower still owe, which covenants come due this month, and how does the pipeline look by stage? Lenders, credit analysts and loan operations staff ask nCino these questions in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. Roles follow your lending authority, and a stage update needs approval. People make every credit decision. The guided pilot runs with your loan operations team.

  • Commercial lender

“Which of my loans have been in underwriting for more than 15 days?”

  • Credit analyst

“Which covenants for the Pinebrook Logistics relationship are due for testing this month?”

  • Loan operations manager

“Which loans set to close next week are still missing required documents?”

  • Chief credit officer

“What is the total commitment in the pipeline by stage and by region?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in nCino

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to nCino under a named person.
  • Move a loan to the next stage once documents are in

Earlier stages are the loan officer's call; moving into closing needs loan operations to confirm the documents are complete.

  • Draft the borrower summary in a credit memo

The credit analyst edits and confirms the draft; the credit decision stays with officers holding the right authority.

  • Record a covenant test result

The analyst confirms the result; any covenant breach needs the portfolio manager to approve the entry.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for nCino

nCino holds borrower financials, credit analysis and collateral for every relationship, and credit decisions carry regulatory weight. Access follows lending authority and region. A stage, covenant or memo change is shown first, and anything above a person's authority goes to someone who holds it. Credit review and examiners can trace each step. The assistant drafts; officers decide.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the nCino records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

nCino questions

Can the assistant approve a loan in nCino?

No. It can summarize a loan, check which documents are missing and draft parts of a credit memo for an analyst to edit. Approval stays with officers who hold the credit authority your policy sets.

Does it work with nCino on Salesforce?

Yes. nCino runs on Salesforce, and during the pilot we connect through an integration user with the permissions agreed for each role, so the assistant sees only what your nCino sharing rules already allow.

Can it track covenants across the portfolio?

Yes. It can list covenants due for testing, recent breaches and waivers by relationship or portfolio manager, so credit administration sees what needs attention this month without building a report.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our nCino data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from nCino through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

nCino is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with nCino; the name describes the connection only.
