PayPal for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
A PayPal business account collects questions from support and finance alike. Through Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, staff can ask about a buyer’s transactions, open disputes and their deadlines, invoices sent but unpaid, subscriptions and their next billing date, and which fees came out of a period. Refunds and dispute responses appear as previews first. PayPal is connected for your business through a guided pilot.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in PayPal
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to PayPal under a named person.
-
Refund a transaction in full or in part
Refunds need two people to agree; from $300 upward, one is the finance manager.
-
Respond to a dispute with tracking details
The ecommerce manager reviews the response before it is sent.
-
Send a reminder for an unpaid PayPal invoice
The shop owner confirms the message before it goes to the buyer.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for PayPal
A PayPal business account stores buyer names and addresses alongside every payment, and it can return money in a moment. Support can see transactions but not act on them. Dispute deadlines are tight, which tempts people to rush, so refunds offered in a dispute still need two people.

PayPal questions
Can the assistant handle PayPal disputes?
It can list open disputes with their reason and deadline, gather order and tracking details and draft a response. A person reviews and sends it, and any refund offered needs a second approver.
Does it work with PayPal Payouts for sellers or creators?
We confirm in the pilot whether payouts are in scope. If they are, people can ask about held or returned payouts, and any new payout always needs two approvers before it is sent.
Can it help reconcile PayPal with our books?
Yes. A bookkeeper can ask for gross sales, fees, refunds and transfers to the bank for a period, then match them to the ledger without downloading and sorting activity reports first.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our PayPal data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from PayPal through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
PayPal is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with PayPal; the name describes the connection only.
