Ramp for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Finance teams on Ramp chase the same things every month: card transactions without receipts or memos, spend against a department’s funds, bills scheduled this week, reimbursements pending and procurement requests in review. Cardholders, managers and finance can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot directly. Anything that moves money or adds spending power needs a second approver. A guided pilot sets up Ramp with your finance lead.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in Ramp
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to Ramp under a named person.
-
Request a new virtual card for a vendor subscription
Every new card or limit increase needs the cardholder’s manager and a finance approver.
-
Prepare a bill for payment from a vendor invoice
All bill payments need a second approver; above $10,000 the controller approves.
-
Add a memo and receipt to a card transaction
A memo and receipt only document a purchase already made, so the cardholder confirms them.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for Ramp
Ramp controls company cards, limits and outgoing payments, so one careless change can spend real money. A new virtual card is spending power, not paperwork. Card requests need the manager and finance, bill payments always need a second person, and the controller joins above $10,000.

Ramp questions
Can the assistant issue Ramp cards?
It can prepare a card request with the limit, vendor and fund. Nothing is issued until the requester confirms it and a second approver agrees, because new cards add spending power.
Can it schedule bill payments?
It can prepare a bill and a payment date. A second approver in finance has to agree before it is paid, and payments above your threshold also go to the controller.
Can it help close the books?
Yes. Accountants can ask which transactions are missing receipts, memos or GL coding before the month closes, and get a list by cardholder to follow up on, sorted by amount.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Ramp data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Ramp through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
Ramp is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Ramp; the name describes the connection only.
