ThoughtSpot for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
mcpbizapps brings ThoughtSpot into the assistants your team already uses. People ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, and the question runs against an approved ThoughtSpot Model, returning the same Answer they would get in ThoughtSpot, with a link to it. Row-level security on the Model follows each person, and every request is kept by name. A guided pilot connects ThoughtSpot and picks the first Models to expose.

Changes, governed
What the assistant can prepare in ThoughtSpot
The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.
- 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
- 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
- 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
- 4 Saved and logged Written to ThoughtSpot under a named person.
-
Pin an Answer to a team Liveboard
Pinning to a small Liveboard needs only the person; one with more than 50 viewers needs its owner.
-
Create a Monitor alert on a KPI
The owner confirms the threshold; alerts that notify people outside the team need the analytics lead.
-
Share a Liveboard with a new group
The Liveboard owner approves; groups outside the Model's allowed audience are refused.
Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.
Why it needs care
Governance built for ThoughtSpot
ThoughtSpot lets anyone search across large tables, so the Models and row-level rules behind it carry a lot of weight. Questions go only to Models approved for each role, with row-level security still in force. Pins, alerts and shares are shown before they happen. The analytics team can read back each question, which helps them tune Model names and synonyms.

ThoughtSpot questions
How is this different from ThoughtSpot Spotter?
Spotter answers questions inside ThoughtSpot. mcpbizapps lets people ask from Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot and still get ThoughtSpot results, under the same approval rules you set for other connected apps such as the CRM or ERP.
What if we still have older Worksheets?
ThoughtSpot has replaced Worksheets with Models, so the pilot works with Models. Older Worksheets can be converted in ThoughtSpot, and we review the Models you want to expose for clear names, synonyms and descriptions before people start asking.
Does ThoughtSpot row-level security still apply?
Yes. Questions run as the ThoughtSpot user or group matched to the person's role, so rules on the Model apply. mcpbizapps also limits which Models each role can query at all, so sensitive ones stay out of reach.
Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our ThoughtSpot data?
No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from ThoughtSpot through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.
ThoughtSpot is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with ThoughtSpot; the name describes the connection only.
