Workable for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Recruiters and hiring teams in Workable can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about open jobs, candidates in each pipeline stage, interviewer evaluations, scheduled interviews and offers that need approval. Each person sees the jobs they are a member of. A stage move or disqualification is shown first, together with the message the candidate would receive. Whoever runs Workable today joins a short guided pilot to connect it.

Ask in a sentence

What can your team ask Workable?

Questions from recruiter, hiring manager, HR manager and others, answered from live Workable data and only for the people allowed to see them.

Records it works with

  • Jobs
  • Candidates
  • Pipeline stages
  • Evaluations
  • Interviews
  • Offers
  • Requisitions
  • Recruiter

“How many candidates applied to the Customer Support Specialist job this week, and how many are still in Sourced?”

  • Hiring manager

“Which candidates for my job have two or more positive evaluations but no interview scheduled?”

  • HR manager

“Which requisitions were approved this month but have no published job yet?”

  • Office manager

“Who has interviews scheduled at the Athens office tomorrow, and with whom?”

  • Founder

“How long did it take to fill each engineering job this year?”

  • Team lead

“Which offers on my team are waiting for signature?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Workable

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Workable under a named person.
  • Move a candidate to a new pipeline stage

A member of that job's hiring team confirms.

  • Disqualify a candidate with a reason and message

The recruiter reviews the reason and message before anything is sent.

  • Send an offer for approval

Offers need the hiring manager and HR, and salaries above budget need the founder or finance.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Workable

Workable holds resumes, contact details and interviewer evaluations for every applicant, often in companies without a dedicated privacy team. Evaluations stay with each job's hiring team. Nobody is disqualified or sent an offer until someone has read exactly what goes out, and offers still need your approvers. Opening a candidate profile leaves a named entry, which helps when someone asks who saw their resume.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Workable records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Workable questions

Can hiring managers use it without learning Workable?

Yes. A hiring manager can ask about their own jobs and candidates in a chat, read evaluations and confirm stage moves, while recruiters keep working in Workable as usual. Roles keep them to their own jobs.

Will the assistant disqualify candidates automatically?

No. A disqualification is prepared with the reason and the candidate message, and the recruiter reviews and confirms it. Nothing is sent to a candidate without a person approving the exact text.

Does it cover Workable requisitions?

Yes, where you use them. HR can ask which requisitions are approved, pending or not yet turned into jobs, which helps keep hiring in line with the agreed headcount for each team.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Workable data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Workable through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Workable is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Workable; the name describes the connection only.
