Oracle OPERA Cloud for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Front office managers start the day asking which arrivals have special requests and which rooms are out of order. With mcpbizapps, Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot answer from Oracle OPERA Cloud, including how a group block is picking up and what sits on a guest's folio. Staff see only their own property. A guided pilot brings OPERA Cloud online for front office and housekeeping first, then revenue.

Records it works with

  • Reservations
  • Profiles
  • Folios
  • Rate codes
  • Blocks
  • Room status
  • Packages
  • Front office manager

“Which arrivals today are VIP level 2 or higher, and are their rooms inspected?”

  • Revenue manager

“How is the Halvard Pharma block picking up against the cutoff date next Friday?”

  • Executive housekeeper

“Which rooms on floors 8 to 12 are out of order, and until when?”

  • Night auditor

“Which folios have a balance above $1,000 with no credit authorization?”

Changes, governed

What the assistant can prepare in Oracle OPERA Cloud

The assistant never saves on its own. It prepares the change, the person checks the preview and confirms, and anything above your limits waits for an approver.

  1. 1 Prepare The assistant drafts the change from the request.
  2. 2 Preview and confirm The person sees exactly what will change.
  3. 3 Approve Above your limits, a second person decides.
  4. 4 Saved and logged Written to Oracle OPERA Cloud under a named person.
  • Apply a rate override to a reservation

Overrides below the best available rate by more than 15% need the revenue manager.

  • Post an adjustment to a guest folio

Adjustments above $100 need the front office manager to approve.

  • Add a trace for housekeeping or engineering

The agent checks the department and due time in the preview before the trace is added.

  • Extend the cutoff date on a group block

Extensions within 14 days of arrival need the director of sales.

Example rules. During the pilot you set the limits, the approvers and which roles may prepare each change.

Why it needs care

Governance built for Oracle OPERA Cloud

A hotel's OPERA Cloud carries guest profiles, stay history and the billing for every room night. The exposure is a deep rate override or a folio credit nobody checks. Overrides past your floor wait for the revenue manager, and folio adjustments over $100 go to the front office manager. Night audit can see which staff member asked for each one, and card numbers never appear in answers.

  • Sign-in by work email

Only people you invite, with a one-time code. No shared logins.

  • Roles per tool

Each role reaches only the Oracle OPERA Cloud records it needs.

  • View only, if you prefer

Admins can keep a connection to lookups with one switch.

  • A preview first

Every change is shown in full before anything is saved.

  • Approval rules

Above your limits, a second person approves the change.

  • One audit log

Every request tied to a named person, ready for review.

Oracle OPERA Cloud questions

Can the assistant change rates on OPERA Cloud reservations?

It prepares the override with the old rate, new rate and reason in a preview. The agent confirms, and overrides beyond your limit wait for the revenue manager before OPERA saves anything.

Does it work across a multi-property OPERA setup?

Yes. Roles map to properties, so a cluster revenue manager can compare hotels while front desk staff only reach their own. Answers always name the property and the business date they cover.

Can it read folio details without card numbers?

Yes. The assistant can list postings, payments and balance on a folio, but full card numbers are never part of the answer. Roles can also limit folio access to front office and finance staff.

Does mcpbizapps keep a copy of our Oracle OPERA Cloud data?

No. When someone asks a question, mcpbizapps reads the answer live from Oracle OPERA Cloud through a dedicated integration user and returns it without storing it. The audit log records who asked, which tool ran and the result, with personal fields and free text removed.

Oracle OPERA Cloud is a trademark of its owner. mcpbizapps is not affiliated with Oracle; the name describes the connection only.
